ST. LOUIS DESIGNER PAULIE GIBSON TO HEADLINE UPCOMING
PINS AND NEEDLES FASHION DESIGN COMPETITION
SAINT LOUIS --- Brainchild Events adds St. Louis’ designer Paulie Gibson to the upcoming Pins and Needles fashion line- up. Gibson will co-host the annual Designer Competition and showcase his Fall/Winter 2014 line.
Paulie Gibson is a contemporary menswear brand sold in higher-end retailers around the world and even made its way on to the popular reality TV show ‘America’s Next Top Model’. Gibson’s thoughtful design, fabrications, and silhouettes are new to the American menswear market; bridging the style gap internationally. “Paulie Boys are active, creative, social, and full of personality. Our mission is to simply outfit our customer through all parts of his life”, Gibson says on the overall goal of ‘Paulie Gibson’.
Gibson has spent his life cultivating an aesthetic thats all his own. Gibson draws upon his life experiences as inspiration for his creations with intention of empowering men to be themselves and to wear what makes them feel empowered. Gibson’s motto is simple; “Be who you are and love it!”
“Pins and Needles is excited to have Gibson’s energy and support in this year’s event!” Dwight Carter, Producer of Pins and Needles. “We have four amazing designers that have been working hard all summer getting ready for this big night!”
At Pins and Needles, competing designers will showcase their collections to fashion-goers and judged by a panel of fashion experts for a grand prize package valued at over $15,000 and a placement within St. Louis Fashion Week 2014 events in October.
The four designers showcasing their looks in this year’s competition are; St. Louis designer Jacqueline Madey of Jacqueline Nicole, Nikki Fizer of No Human Intentions from Kansas City, Truly Alvarenga of Pink Elephants Designs from Nashville and Jummy Thomas of Olá Thomas from Minnesota.
“Pins and Needles supports the creativity, innovation and artistry of new designers by giving them the exposure, experience and tools they need to take their collections from runway to retail,” says Carter.
“Our mission is to elevate the success of our emerging designers—whether just completing their degree, recently graduated or working on their first collection.”
